Kailua-Kona Wharf Loading Platform Repair

Sea Engineering, Inc. (SEI) served as the design-build general contractor for the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) at Kailua Pier on Hawaii Island. The project goal was to construct a new 60-foot-long wharf to replace the existing platform at Kailua Pier. SEI provided turn-key services including obtaining all the required permits, designing a complete wharf system, and installing new aluminum frames, composite plastic lumber fenders, fiber-reinforced plastic decking, and aluminum cleats. The wharf continues to serve the public, various local businesses, events, and tournaments throughout the year.
