A new plan to stabilize a famous stretch of shoreline is moving forward. The State of Hawaii just released a draft Environmental Assessment for the project. The goal is to stabilize the beach and maintain the approximate width of the 2012 Waikiki Beach sand replenishment project. Funding will be provided by the state and commercial property owners in Waikiki.
